When Do You Need an Atmospheric Large-Roll Jigger Dyeing Machine?
A jigger dyeing machine moves open-width fabric back and forth between two rollers through a small dye bath. The SWR1000-1500 series is an atmospheric, large-roll version of that principle: it runs under normal pressure, so it is the right open-width atmospheric jigger for cotton, linen, silk, nylon, rayon and synthetic filaments - and not for polyester disperse dyeing, which needs a sealed high-temperature high-pressure jigger.
It is built for pre-treatment and dyeing of various fabrics under atmospheric conditions, meeting the industry demand for small batches and multiple varieties. Desizing, scouring and bleaching-dyeing are combined in one machine, which shortens the process chain and cuts fabric handling between separate pre-treatment units.
Per our factory records, this large atmospheric jigger is one of the largest jiggers in China. With working widths of 1800, 2000, 2200, 2800, 3200 and 3400 mm, it suits mid-size to large dyehouses running longer open-width atmospheric batches on wider fabric.
Core Parameters & Technical Data
Type: atmospheric, automatic large-roll jigger dyeing machine; one of the largest atmospheric jiggers in China per our records.
Working widths: 1800, 2000, 2200, 2800, 3200 and 3400 mm - choose the configuration that matches your widest fabric with margin.
Process range: pre-treatment and dyeing under atmospheric conditions; desizing, scouring and bleaching-dyeing combined in one machine, plus scouring, bleaching and washing.
Fabrics: open-width fabrics, cotton, linen, silk, nylon, rayon and synthetic filaments. Dyes: disperse, sulfur, vat, direct and reactive.
Automation: automatic pass counting, automatic reversing, automatic direction changing and automatic stop, running under reliable constant tension and constant linear speed.
Design background: the series was designed and developed by our factory after absorbing the advantages of jiggers from Japan, Denmark and Italy; the mechanical and electrical control absorbs advanced foreign jigger technology, further improved on domestic market needs and years of customer feedback. It was awarded the Gold Medal at the Fifth Patent, New Technology and New Product Expo.
How to Choose the Right Atmospheric Large-Roll Jigger
Match working width to your widest fabric, with margin. The series covers 1800 to 3400 mm in six steps; a wider machine can run narrow fabric, but a narrow machine cannot be economically widened later.
Keep atmospheric for cellulose and filaments. Cotton, linen, viscose, silk and nylon dye well at atmospheric temperature; polyester and other synthetics need a high-temperature high-pressure jigger such as our GR series.
Check the automation list: automatic pass counting, reversing, direction change and stop reduce operator errors and keep shades consistent from batch to batch.
Verify constant tension and constant linear speed. On long large-roll batches and tension-sensitive goods, uneven speed or tension shows up as levelness problems that are very hard to correct afterwards.
Confirm the process scope you need: combining desizing, scouring and bleaching-dyeing in one batch unit saves separate pre-treatment equipment - exactly the small-batch, multi-variety profile of most modern dyehouses.
Choose a production factory, not a trader. Installation, commissioning, spare parts and operator training are part of the working life of any jigger.
Common Mistakes Buyers Make
Buying an atmospheric machine for polyester. Disperse dyeing needs temperatures above 100 degC; an atmospheric jigger simply cannot fix those dyes level. Specify an HT-HP jigger for synthetics.
Under-sizing the working width. Measure your real widest fabric plus margin and pick from the 1800-3400 mm range; a machine bought too narrow becomes a permanent bottleneck.
Ignoring constant tension and linear speed. Uneven speed on a long roll produces shade variation and creasing that downstream finishing cannot fully repair.
Expecting a batch jigger to replace a continuous range. This machine combines desizing, scouring and bleaching-dyeing in one unit, but continuous lines still win for very high-volume single-product fabric.
Buying through intermediaries without after-sales support. Commissioning, spare parts and training from a direct factory make the difference between a running machine and a parked one.
Why Buy from Wuxi Runda
We are a production factory founded in 2004, located in Qianzhou, Wuxi - at the heart of Jiangsu's dyeing machinery industrial cluster, with component suppliers and skilled workers nearby.
We cooperate with textile research institutes and technical colleges year-round, and design and develop our own jigger series after absorbing the advantages of jiggers from Japan, Denmark and Italy.
We build machines for small batches, multiple varieties and low energy consumption, with reliable, stable performance - the practical profile of most modern dyehouses.
Our equipment is exported to Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Japan, Thailand and other Southeast Asian markets, backed by complete after-sales service including installation, commissioning, spare parts and operator training.
Frequently Asked Questions
What working widths does the SWR1000-1500 series cover?
Working widths are 1800, 2000, 2200, 2800, 3200 and 3400 mm. Tell us your widest fabric and target batch length, and we will confirm the exact configuration.
Can this atmospheric jigger dye polyester fabric?
No. It runs under atmospheric conditions and suits cotton, linen, silk, nylon, rayon and synthetic filaments. Polyester and other synthetics need a high-temperature high-pressure jigger such as our GR series.
Does it combine desizing, scouring and dyeing in one machine?
Yes. The series combines desizing, scouring and bleaching-dyeing in one unit, which reduces fabric handling and shortens the process chain for small, multi-variety batches.
What automation and control does it have?
Automatic pass counting, automatic reversing, automatic direction changing and automatic stop, all running under reliable constant tension and constant linear speed.
How is it different from your SWRl400 jumbo jigger?
The SWRl400 is our flagship jumbo jigger with the largest fabric roll diameter and working width in our range. The SWR1000-1500 is the atmospheric automatic large-roll series covering 1800-3400 mm - one of the largest atmospheric jiggers in China. Send us your batch and width, and we will match the right machine.
